Did pain exist before Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge? If so, why? If part of the punishment for eating the fruit was pain during childbirth, does this mean pain receptors didn’t exist in the female body before this? How else would childbirth have been free from pain?

Apologies for the tangent, but another question for the Christians:
How does one explain the mechanism for ‘miracles’?
I find the biggest ‘miracle’ leap to be the resurrection.
It’s always struck me as pure unsubstantiated myth despite all the people he is purported to have appeared to…
I would also be interested in hearing DT’s take on miracles and the resurrection – perhaps a future post?
Many thanks,
Jeff.
