Stop confusing the two

Luke is the only book to mention the angel of the Lord visiting any shepherds to tell them of Jesus’ birth. And only Matthew mentions the ‘wise men’. There is absolutely no evidence that the shepherds and the wise men are the same people.

  1. Well the shepards and wise men are NOT the same lol. We read in Matt 2:11 that the wise men “were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother”. From this, we can see that the ‘commercial nativity’ is incorrect. The wise men didn’t greet Jesus until He was a YOUNG CHILD in the HOUSE.

The wise men met with Herod, and the shephers were in the field. They really can’t be confused!

I don’t recall anyone saying that the wise men and the shepherds were the same people??????

My dear, Angie, you must get out more as there are MANY who believe they are the same. That was the reason for the post. Hopefully those who think they are the same will realize their mistake. Thanks for the comment though. I hope you’ll continue to read through my other posts.
